On 5/8/2021 the competent prosecutor issued a ruling dismissing the application and report of John Economides in that (a) he did not provide sufficient evidence for indication of violation of his privacy for referral of his case to trial and (b) Greek Intelligence Service (EYP) is covered by rules of secrecy.

In May 2023 John Economides referred the case to the European Prosecutor who advised that the case is not in their competence.

In November 2023 John Economides referred the case to the anti trust authorities of the U.S. Department of Justice on legal, foreign and international implications for the U.S.
