The defeat of extremism is warranted in either direction, Israel and Hamas. This defeat is political and so is the work towards it. The hostages and the thousands of civilian Palestinians are the victims of extremism and in the case of Hamas, terrorism. The reports of WSJ and CNN are excellent works of journalism and helpful reminders of both. Implementation of the ceasefire plan, is what comes next.
