Mexico’s Obrador enacts judicial reforms to elect judges by popular vote.

Cuba 2.0 ?

Probably worse.

The judiciary is independent in liberal democracies. This is no longer the case in Mexico, which is not communist but narco extremist capitalist state. Mexico does not carry Russian missiles (yet) but organised aggressive caravans (ordered armies and gangs) of destitute illegal undocumented migrants with ties to criminal and terrorist groups. These migrant armies regularly invade the U.S. by violating the border it shares with Mexico.

The foreign affairs effect of such invasions being that Mexican authorities officially and openly threaten the sovereignty (and the territorial integrity) of the U.S. in Texas and in other southern states (like New Mexico, Arizona and California) inter alia.

Finally, the political, economic and social displacement of Mexico in Latin America, is significantly larger than that of Cuba. Which (Mexican displacement), after the fiasco with the U.S. sanctions in Venezuela, the war in Europe and the Middle East and the situation with Russia and China elsewhere, inevitably compounds the complications and further threatens with the incessant escalations of the crises.
