Russia releases Evan Gershkovich and Paul Whelan in historic prisoner swap with West
The swap was vital for the prisoners exchanged and their families. It is also a diplomatic feat of the participating parties. The swap raises hopes for the improvement of the relations between Russia and the West, the end of the war in Ukraine and in Gaza, the return of the hostages in Gaza and overall for peace, security, stability and prosperity in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
