This environmental agenda sets Harris apart from Biden — and is bringing attacks from the GOP.
The rich have more economic means to control the effects of the environmental crisis. The poor have less, so the crisis stresses the poor more than the rich. Harris has to take the extra mile from inequity and inequitability to inequality.
The effects of the environmental crisis are not the same for all but the resolution of the global crisis (e.g. climate change) needs all. This means it needs the developed and the developing countries.
Harris is American of Indian – African origin. This helps with the developing countries and with their people and populations, which are non European. It also helps that the Democrats are liberal and Harris has an added socialist trait. Finally Harris has an edge in matters of law which is useful in the legal aspects of politics, this meaning besides moral virtue.
There are also economic reasons, to bring inequality forward. The potential for growth is with the poor, the ultra poor and the developing countries. Not with the rich, the ultra rich and the developed countries. The middle class connection between the rich and the poor is fractured and the resulting polarization moreover in extremis, is the exact source of the political, institutional, constitutional, economic, social and environmental crisis facing the U.S., the world, civilization and humanity. This fracture is structural, systematic and since endemic.
The liberation and regulation of markets, the dissolution of trusts, monopolies and cartels and the unlocking of opportunity for all, is legal constitutional, economic, technological and ecological principle and practice, as well as national and international prerogative.
For example, financial markets cannot run when 60+% of trade volumes is controlled by few (five or so) mega funds which on top synchronize. Media cannot run when 99% of the news reports, information and communication is centrally controlled in matters like financial crime, extremism, terrorism, illegal undocumented migration, Covid, trade, transport and supply disruptions, infrastructure sabotage, cyber attacks, crypto currencies, inflation, racial tension, gender confusion, obesity, addiction, poverty, insanity, disease, crime, crisis, chaos and war.
Systems cannot function with poor or without scale, this meaning with poor (fixed) or without configurations of reflective and responsive values (and reliable valuations), which fair prices in free market trade and transactions, bring. People, companies and administrations cannot manage businesses, technology, ecology and their affairs without scale (configuration and definition) which free floating market indicators (devices for measurement, accuracy and scale) provide.
Without resolution of the market crisis, the U.S. and the world cannot realistically fight any crisis, let alone any security crisis. Especially with forces becoming or rising to become enemies in the military offensive or defensive, formidable or not. Or deal meaningfully with any environmental crisis, let alone one as serious, ominous and global as global warming and climate change.
The defence of democracy, the moderation of inequality and extremist polarization, the repair of social, economic and political fragmentation, the restitution of the middle class, the reinstatement of liberty, democracy, order, the rule of law and free market economics and the rein over crime and terrorism, are paramount conditions and priority imperatives. Above all and before anything and everything becomes meaningful and realistic at all.
The world (biology, humanity and civilization) needs power for condition. This means the world needs real technology. Real meaning safe and sound technology and free information and communication for all. With true and verified, natural, technical and technological intelligence not false so called artificial intelligence.
Global warming (due to change of chemical composition of the atmosphere) and consequent climate change (weather volatility due to biochemistry driven, higher temperature and pressure variations) needs more oxygen, this meaning more forests. It also needs less carbon, this meaning more nuclear plants.
The world (humanity and civilization), the environment and the planet need environmentally conscious political mobilization, this means secure information, safe communication, simple and sound education for the people. Undoubtedly, the world cannot fight environmental degradation and climate change amidst the crisis of extremism, terrorism, crime and war. In the center of which are the U.S. and the EU via Ukraine and Greece and the Middle East via Gaza and Israel.
