Macron to Europe: We need to become ‘omnivores’ after Trump’s victory.
I would not put this in the exact metabolic terms, but Macron is right and realistic.
The world is global, interrelated and interdependent. In trade, in culture and in many other ways. Alliances are good and are the fabric of international relations.
At all times however, Europe and the member states must look after themselves and after their national and international interests. Naturally and always, be prepared for all eventualities.
The same obviously stands for the states and countries in the Far East and for all the states and countries across the world.
