Instrumentation is a mental function extending from neurological metabolic and reproductive interaction. For this reason instrumentation is informative, transformative and so, evolutionary. Instrumentation is specifically, formative, functional, structural and systematic.
The scope of instrumentation is the employment and exploitation of possibility, probability, potentiality (dynamic moment and momentum) and opportunity, via realization and application. Therefore instrumentation is dimensional function and draws from fundamental energy management, organisation and control of motion (in dimension).
Technology develops technical devices for the service and utility, facility, specification and augmentation of the intelligent, neurological and mental, sensory and motor control, of the user’s power (interaction – force).
Instruments are therefore utilitarian devices, like tools, utencils (of all sorts from oxes to forks, swimsuits, spacecrafts and art instruments), arms and weapons. The derivative technique and technology, is useful, manual, technical, mechanical, industrial, automatic and electronic (digital). Technology develops instruments in every possible form and device in machinery and engineering.
Technique is the technical application of instrumentation. Technology is the knowledge of technique. Knowledge is organised (structured) information and so technology employs science.
For the same reason, information is common denominator across intelligence, utility, instrumentation, employment, exploitation, transformation, technique, technology, science, administration, management and the scalar, dynamic properties of energy. Like motion and dimension and specifically, like definition gradation and the interchange of physical and quantum states in universal energy dynamics and physical mechanics. Relevant interactions, relations, organisations and conditions, are gravitational, nuclear, electromagnetic, chemical, biochemical, biological and neurological.
Instrumentation, technique and technology are therefore based in information organisation of probability and programming (in dimension – material mass in space and time).
Program is process. Instrumentation, technique and technology manage process and develop program. The process is manual, technical, mechanical, industrial, electronic (digital). Automation depends on the element of replication sequence, frequence, level, rate and degree.

Artificial intelligence organises information technology process. At variable but critical, technical and technological levels, standards and degrees of automation.
Industrial applications of technology are collaborative. Collaboration is interactive, relational, organisational and conditional. Like social cooperation, industrial collaboration is based in communication (of information). Industrial management and industrial technology, manage industrial process. This is also formative, functional, structural and systematic. Productive and constructive, transformative and consumable.
Process develops priority, program, pattern, model and motif. Process is primarily and predominantly mental, personal, individual and intelligent or public, common and intellectual. Technical process and program is also social, spiritual, moral, legal, political, governmental, cybernetic, economic and ecological process and program, policy, rule, law and regulation.
