Deep Learning and the Alphabet of Knowledge

Artificial intelligence programs use deep learning models that can recognize complex patterns in images, text, sounds and other data to produce formulations. They process the data with these models in successive levels.

There is however, the wise Chinese proverb which says, “If you are a friend, don’t give me fish. Teach me to fish.”

This is the reason for the course in natural intelligence. In this course we use the Alphabet of Knowledge, which is also a model like those of artificial intelligence, but of deeper learning. This model however, trains users to recognize complex patterns in data and information themselves, in order to compose their own ideas and predictions, and indeed with greater security, accuracy and reliability.

The model used by the Alphabet of Knowledge is useful and transparent since it is drawn from the successive levels of data processing. These are the basic levels of natural evolution, i.e. inorganic, organic, biological and human including of technological evolution, which in the Alphabet rise to about 26 (levels).

As for the rest, the Alphabet uses as a database, our general knowledge , complementing it with some additional elements during the course. As an operating system, it uses our natural intelligence.

So, join the Life Long Learning Program of Athens College to see and tell it all as it is, simple, fun and interesting as far as the educational part is concerned. If there is time and desire left, we will also look at the technical and legal issues of artificial intelligence programs.

I will be glad to see you. –
